Maggie Mejia, LPCC

Maggie Mejia is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and has been in the field since 2013 providing therapy and support services to adults and children with mental health needs. Using a humanistic approach along with cognitive behavioral methods (CBT, DBT, CPT and Trauma Focused CBT) she strives to facilitate healing and growth. Maggie has provided individual and group therapy in a variety of settings, including clinical mental health facilities, schools, and treatment centers for substance use disorders. Maggie has served as a school-based therapist with 4th-12th graders to address a wide range of issues: low self-esteem, trauma, challenging behavior, depression, anxiety, and identity issues. Working at a university, Maggie specialized in providing vocational counseling: work related issues, college guidance, social skills training and reinforcement, and confidence building.

Maggie is trained and experienced in Trauma Informed Care. She uses this approach to build trust, collaboration, and to promote safety.

Maggie believes in meeting people where they are. She is passionate about supporting individuals to reach goals of healing, self-love, improved relationships, emotional stability, quality sleep, and higher functioning at school and/or work. 

Everyone is capable of reaching their full potential. Everyone needs help along the way. Providing a calm, safe, accepting space for people to share and learn are key elements Maggie brings to her practice.
