Eleanor Volk, LISW
License Independent Social Worker

Eleanor Volk is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) who specializes in working with adolescents and adults.  She has provided counseling to individuals and their families for over ten years.  

With a compassionate and solution focused approach, Eleanor works with individuals to facilitate change and relieve symptoms.  She has experience with mental health issues ranging from sexual abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss, and adjustment issues.  Eleanor utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach in working with people to help them build on their ability to change unwanted feelings and/or behaviors. She provides a strength-based approach to aid with the challenges of parenting and in improving parent/teen relationships. 

 Eleanor has also worked in outpatient mental health agencies during her career.  She has provided both individual and group therapy.  She has received extensive training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy for both adolescents and adults.  Eleanor earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton and her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati.

Eleanor is native to the Cincinnati area and enjoys time with her husband and being active with their two young children.
